basement finds...

Loving this storage unit for my basement... But not sure about going with off white furniture? Any thoughts?

I promised I would share my treat from "Ketchup" night... well, I forgot to take pictures... (dang that makes me mad...) but here was the idea. I made these

the fries like the ones at Chili's... loaded with cheese, bacon bits, jalepeno's, green onions... (oops forgot to warn them.. sorry LaDene for burning your mouth off...)

Or these... like the ones I used for the cupcakes, only I put them in a cup on top of a parfait that was white chocolate mousse, strawberry danish dessert (with fresh strawberries) and fries on top.

the point in doing 2 was to get the girls to think "outside the box" with their personal progress. There isn't only one way of doing things... you can be as creative as you want! (or steal ideas from others... like I do :)

A Better Gum Ball Machine

Decided at the last minute yesterday to fix the gumball machine...

In total this whole thing cost me $6 (gum balls included)

Here's what's on tap for this week... "Ketchup" on your Personal Progress night. Not an original idea, but a spin off... of course!

We are also focusing on the value "CHOICE AND ACCOUNTABILITY"

just for a kick start on ideas this gumball machine is filled with not only bubble gum, but ideas from the P.P.Book that they can "CHEWS" from...

it's rough, but I think it will do the job... needs an orange ribbon!!! (I'll go do that now...)
and we will also be talking about choices and resolutions, since this is the perfect time of year to do so...

so here's one of mine, reading the Book Of Mormon with a purpose. I found this notebook idea on inkablinka website (on my list of favorites...)
My mothering needs an overhaul, and I'm really hoping that this book can help me get that. But I don't pay attention unless I write things down.
the scissors are to remind me that I need to cut time out of my day somewhere and make time... to read and understand. I've seen the Book of Mormon change peoples lives, become to converted to the Gospel and become better people. I'm hoping it can help me.

Ringing in the New Year in S.L.C.

Happy 2012 EVERYONE!!!

I feel bad about not getting around to Christmas Card's this year. It was one of those things that I really meant to have happen! I did receive some absolutely darling ones from my dear friends, and family. Loved the pictures and well wishes... thank you!

Checking Things Off Lists...

..."twas the night before the big event" and here's my loaded sleigh...

I felt a little like an elf with my big red sleigh filled with all these christmas-y things..

This entire Holiday Season (since before Thanksgiving) I have stressed and worried about this event....

I was mostly happy with how things turned out...

it helped knowing that all this was being done for a good cause "The New Hope Crisis Center" in Brigham City, I hope they have a good christmas. We raised lots of money and collected lots of p.j.'s for them.

I have great friends and neighbors and many who supported my efforts. Thanks to you all~

It was kindof wierd, There are things that I wish I could have changed, but I was too tired to care! (I probably shouldn't openly admit that....)

Overall, my vision for the day was fulfilled, and the event was a success.... so cross this one off my list!
