my family

Nick was missing his cousin Buddy today.... so we called them. It is so fun to have a family you love so much and want to be with. I am so lucky to have a Mom and Dad, brothers, sister's, in-laws, nephews and neices who all get along so well. I'm wishing today that we could all be a little closer in proximity so that we could go to the park together or something. Nick is too. But the good news is that spring is coming and soon after it summer. We have a big summer to look forward to with lots of fun family events. I look forward to some fun memories.

Hardware Ranch

What a beautiful winter day. It was around 40 degrees outside today and sunny skies. We decided to take a drive to Hardware Ranch near Logan to see the ELK. What a sight they were. nearly 600 elk come to this feeding ground every winter. There were some bulls but mostly babies and mommas. The kids had a great time. It was very interesting and up close and personal. Here are a few shots.

One of those days...

...and so it continued...

as if he were trying to ... you know... be nice! he scrubbed the sinks (which is his favorite job to do...) I think this all came about when we were trying to sell our house in AZ. I was almost overboard with making my sink shiny and clean and learned a great little method from "the fly lady" on how to do it. This included filling the sink to the top with water and then a hundred other steps (one of which included floss for the cracks). Nick was obviously impressed! And hey, why ruin a perfect opportunity for a "fun kids chore".

Handy Manny's car wash...

Or, I should say Handy Nick's VACUME service. He was afraid it would be too...
what a hard little worker
never fear he had his trusty SIDEKICK
