It was a fun project... It goes with this Bride to Be...

It was so fun I think I'll make another for my other neice who is also a bride to be.

An EGG Problem

I'm not sure how this happened but I suddenly get SO SICK if I eat an egg. I have tried over a month or so to test it, and sure enough everytime I eat one... just an egg, I get feeling so yucky. It will go away after a few hours, but man! So, I called the Dr. today just in case, to see if they knew what the deal was, if it was a common problem, and if there was some reason for it?



ANSWER: YOU'RE ALLERGIC TO EGGS

SOLUTION: STOP EATING THEM! duh!!!



& FOR THE NAUSEA: (and because I'm nursing a baby still...) the Dr. said....

GingerSnaps:

2 c. flour

1 Tbsp ginger

1 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 tsp. salt

2 tsp soda

3/4 c. shortening

1 c. sugar

1/4 c. molasses

1 egg

sugar for rolling dough in.

cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy, add molasses, egg. Combine dry ingredients seperatley and add slowly to wet ingredients. roll dough into 1" balls and roll in sugar.

bake 350 for 12 minutes.

I know that I could fill my life with other things... like primary calling, um.. kids, house work, projects, pursuit of wealth... but I ENJOY TREATS!

Let's face it... I'm a mom on a mission to find a butt kicker who will snap me out of this rut...

my family

Nick was missing his cousin Buddy today.... so we called them. It is so fun to have a family you love so much and want to be with. I am so lucky to have a Mom and Dad, brothers, sister's, in-laws, nephews and neices who all get along so well. I'm wishing today that we could all be a little closer in proximity so that we could go to the park together or something. Nick is too. But the good news is that spring is coming and soon after it summer. We have a big summer to look forward to with lots of fun family events. I look forward to some fun memories.

Hardware Ranch

What a beautiful winter day. It was around 40 degrees outside today and sunny skies. We decided to take a drive to Hardware Ranch near Logan to see the ELK. What a sight they were. nearly 600 elk come to this feeding ground every winter. There were some bulls but mostly babies and mommas. The kids had a great time. It was very interesting and up close and personal. Here are a few shots.
