I'm teaching a similar class next week-but using an old t-shirt to make it!! I looked at the tutorial and though it says to use elastic thread, I'm not sure you have to. I'm going to try it with just a basting stitch (done one with elastic thread too). Jersey knit fabric ruffles really easy. I'll let you know what I figure out! :)
Really... that is a great and quick project! It's really soft! I love it!
